Deleting your Kanka account

In the app

Settings → Gizlilik ve Güvenlik → Hesabı sil. Once you confirm (your phone's lock is asked for), it is deleted at once.

What is deleted

• Your username (it can be taken again) and your public keys
• Your contact list and guard pairings
• Encrypted messages and files waiting on the server, your profile photo
• Every chat and all media on your phone

What stays

The chat stays on the phones of the people you talked to; the server delivers nothing more to you and shows them that the account is gone. Statistics that belong to no one (such as "one account was deleted today") stay.

If you cannot reach the app

If your phone was lost or the app removed: an account not opened for 180 days deletes itself, completely, as above. Since the only proof that an account is yours is the key on your phone, we cannot verify a deletion request that comes any other way.
